Is Augusta Budget Motel pet-friendly?

Yes. Pets are welcome inside all rooms at no extra charge. Please mention you're bringing a pet when you book so we can prep the right room for you.

Lot 1 National Highway A1, Port Augusta SA 5700 — directly off Highway 1 on the southern outskirts of Port Augusta. We're 5 minutes from Wadlata Outback Centre and 14 minutes from Port Augusta Airport.

Is parking free? Can I park a caravan or trailer?

Yes — parking is free for all guests. We have generous bays designed for cars, utes, 4WDs with trailers, and caravans. You can park directly outside your room door.

Is Wi-Fi free?

Yes — free high-speed Wi-Fi is available in every room and across all public areas of the motel.

Does the motel serve breakfast?

No, we don't serve breakfast on-site. Every room has a microwave, kettle, toaster and bar fridge so you can prep your own. McDonald's, Hungry Jack's and other quick options are a 2-minute drive away.

What room types are available and how much do they cost?

We offer three room types — all ground-floor, all pet-friendly:

  • Budget Queen Room — sleeps 2, from $110/night
  • Standard Twin Room — 1 queen + 1 single, sleeps 3, from $120/night
  • Standard Family Room — 1 queen + 1 bunk bed, sleeps 4, from $130/night

Is there a swimming pool?

No, we don't have a pool. We do have a guest BBQ, picnic area, mini golf, and guest laundry on-site.

Is the motel accessible for guests with mobility needs?

Yes. Every room is on the ground floor with drive-up access — no stairs or lifts. The entire property is wheelchair-accessible. Please call us to discuss specific needs and we'll arrange the most suitable room.

Can I check in after 8 PM?

Yes. We have a self-service after-hours check-in kiosk for late arrivals. Please call us before 8 PM on (08) 8642 2555 so we can have your key and room info ready.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies vary by rate. Most direct bookings include free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival. The exact policy for your booking is shown when you select your room.

How far is the motel from the Flinders Ranges?

The southern Flinders Ranges National Park is about 45 minutes north of the motel. Wilpena Pound, in the heart of the ranges, is approximately 2 hours away. We're a popular base for Flinders Ranges day trips.

Is the area safe and quiet at night?

Yes. The motel is on the highway but set back from the road, with well-lit secure parking and quiet rooms. Most guests describe their stay as peaceful and restful — including travellers passing through and locals on staycations.

Do you accept credit cards?
